Port of Belledune donates to local food banks, shelters

The Port of Belledune is “Anchored in the Community”, ⚓️especially through these challenging times. ?

As such, we’ve made donations to every food bank, as well as all women and children shelters in each of our three regions. ❤️

“The BPA will always help out our communities in any way we can. In these difficult times, we’re glad to be able to provide at least some assistance! Thank you to all the workers and volunteers who are running these programs and looking out for the individuals and families of the regions.” – Denis Caron, BPA President & CEO

IMPORTANT NOTICE RE: DONATIONS & SPONSORSHIPS

The Belledune Port Authority (BPA) has made the difficult decision to postpone donation and sponsorship contributions until further notice. In an effort to follow all recommendations from government and medical professionals in the province and federally regarding slowing the spread of COVID-19, the BPA must support the call for social distancing and is not able to contribute to events that encourage gathering at this time.   The public will be notified through social media and the BPA website when the BPA will once again be accepting donation and sponsorship requests for consideration of contributions.

As always, the BPA remains anchored in our community and helping residents and families remain safe is top priority. We applaud those on the front lines and thank those in our community who are working tirelessly to keep us safe.  We urge everyone to listen to the government’s instructions at this time.  Social distancing is an important act for those of us not essential workers.  Our joint commitment to the effort is necessary.

The BPA apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause, and thank you in advance for your understanding during this difficult time.

Stay safe, stay healthy and stay at home!
