Enterprise Chaleur and the Port of Belledune welcome commercial delegates from Canadian embassies and consulates

Belledune, N.B. – Six commercial delegates from the Canadian consulates of Chicago and Miami, as well as Canadian embassies from Beijing, London, Paris and Rome, were in the Chaleur region on September 23rd, 2010 in order to familiarize themselves with the strategic infrastructures of the region. They had the opportunity to visit the Port of Belledune, as well as the Bathurst campus of the CCNB, and also discuss investment opportunities.

According to Donald Hammond, the Executive Director of Enterprise Chaleur, “this was an excellent opportunity to highlight the strategic assets of the Chaleur region to the commercial delegates and to discuss business / investment attraction opportunities. They will therefore be able to better support us in identifying potential investors who are seeking new markets and strategic sites for business expansions.”

Jenna Doucet, Director of Marketing for the Belledune Port Authority, added that  “the Port of Belledune is retaining the attention of potential investors more and more; with the support of the commercial delegates, we will be able to better promote the benefits of using the Port of Belledune as the gateway to the North American market.’’
